Steps involved in constructing hand-dug water wells in Uganda
Step 1 – Survey
A physical visit is done to determine the probability at which a shallow dug well can be successful.
We conduct a thorough site assessment to determine the best location for your shallow well, considering factors such as soil composition, water table depth, and proximity to existing structures.
Step 2 - Digging
The next step is to organize the digging team, tools, and materials to use. Tools include; pickaxe, spade, rope, bucket, pulley system to mention
Once water is reached, building materials are organized and delivered to the site. Building materials include; bricks (clay burnt bricks recommended), Sand (Lake sand recommended), cement, waterproof powder to mention.
Step 3 - Casing
We install durable well casings to protect the well from contamination and ensure long-term performance
Step 4 - Pump Installation
Upon completion of the well, we install high quality submersible pumps to efficiently extract water for your specific needs.
